Ag Excellence Conference all about farm management

Time to fine tune those management skills, be exposed to new ideas

And save the dates Dec. 8 to 10, 2020 for a great line up of speakers with all kinds of good farm management advice as part of the Ag Excellence Conference that will be going virtual this year.

Organized by Farm Management Canada (FMC), the three day conference features speakers on a variety of topics ranging from the role that mentors and peer advisors can play in your farm business; to the value of benchmarks – what you can learn —; to a producer panel discussing how to get the most value out of your farm, and of course much more.

The Agricultural Excellence Conference is the only event in Canada dedicated exclusively to bring farm management enthusiasts together to build their business acumen, says Heather Watson, FMC executive director. She’ll be opening the conference speaking on this year’s theme Prosperity with Purpose — taking a proactive approach to farm business management — how to build confidence and capacity to weather any storms.

Other speakers include producers such as Tyler Fewings of southwest Manitoba, Terry Aberhart of Aberhart Ag Solutions at Langenburg, Sask., Stirling Hilton member of long time family farm and value added businesses at Strathmore east of Calgary, and Anne Wasko, a beef market analyst with Cattle Trends Inc, as well as being a southwest Saskatchewan rancher. And again there are many more conference sessions as well.

All main conference speaker sessions are free, however if you are interested in a “premium program” for $150 you can also participate in in-depth learning sessions with conference speakers.
