The book chronicles the history of a great Canadian company and its role in the design, manufacture, distribution and sale of trucks, construction and agricultural equipment in Canada.

Here at Grainews, we like to profile books that offer interesting looks behind the scenes at machinery brands when we find them. Now, a book that came to our attention a few years ago called A History and Memories of International Harvester Canada, 1903-1985 is available for sale online, which makes it much easier to pick up a copy.

One of the book’s authors, Brian Kirkpatrick, who has contributed to some historical articles we’ve featured in the pages of previous issues of Grainews, let us know he and his co-authors have created a website, internationalharvesterhistory.com, to promote the book and sell copies.

The book’s contributors all worked for International Harvester Canada and had first-hand involvement in, or knowledge of, many aspects of equipment development and sales during the last century. Their book offers some intimate glimpses inside the brand that machinery enthusiasts will enjoy.

The book can be ordered directly via the website for C$34.95.
