[UPDATED: Nov. 10, 2022] Western Canadian farmers looking for a new canola hybrid to try next year will have lots to choose from with 17 new canola options coming out for the 2023 growing season. Here’s a look at what’s coming your way from BASF, BrettYoung, Canterra Seeds, Croplan, Dekalb and Corteva’s Pioneer and Brevant seed brands. Keep in mind, this list includes only brand new canola releases for 2023.
BASF
InVigor L350PC is BASF’s highest yielding hybrid in trials to date. This LibertyLink canola combines yield, standability, first-generation clubroot resistance and pod shatter reduction technology.

Canterra Seeds
CS3100 TF is a full-maturity TruFlex hybrid with excellent yield and straight cut potential. Its pod shatter resistance trait provides superior yield protection, and CS3100 TF also has a strong disease package that includes first- and second-generation clubroot resistance and multigenic blackleg resistance (R-ADE2).
CS2700 CL is a high-yielding Clearfield hybrid featuring exclusive contract premiums. This mid-maturity canola also offers multigenic blackleg resistance (R-AE2) and second-generation clubroot resistance including pathotypes 3A, 3D and 3H.
CS2800 CL is a Clearfield hybrid featuring excellent yield potential and standability as well as exclusive contract premiums. This full-season canola is swath only and is best suited for long-season growing zones. It has excellent disease protection with both multigenic blackleg resistance (R-AFG) and first- and second-generation clubroot resistance.
Corteva: Brevant
B3012 is a mid- to late-maturity LibertyLink hybrid featuring great yield performance along with excellent standability and pod shatter protection. It has a good verticillium stripe score and also provides protection against blackleg, fusarium wilt and clubroot (CR1).
B3014 is a LibertyLink hybrid with high yield potential and a good plant height. This mid- to late-maturity canola offers protection against blackleg, fusarium wilt and clubroot (CR1), and it also has a sclerotinia resistance trait.

P612L is a mid- to early-maturity LibertyLink hybrid that offers high yield potential and protection against blackleg, fusarium wilt and clubroot (CR4). It has a very good lodging reduction score and is suitable for all growing regions with options for harvest timing.
P514CL is a mid- to early-maturity Clearfield hybrid which provides protection against blackleg, fusarium wilt and clubroot (CR5). It has excellent yield potential and a very good lodging score.
Croplan
CP22T1C is high-yielding TruFlex hybrid suited for straight cut. Its combination of classic and newer clubroot resistance provides increased protection against clubroot race shift. CP22T1C is early maturing and is designed to perform best in the mid-short season zone.
Dekalb
DK900TF is a TruFlex canola with Roundup Ready technology that combines strong performance and excellent disease protection against clubroot and blackleg. This mid-maturity hybrid has a high yield potential and offers excellent harvestability with straight cut genetics for improved pod integrity and enhanced pod shatter protection.
DK901TF is a TruFlex canola with Roundup Ready technology offering high yield potential and straight cut genetics that provide harvest flexibility to delay swathing or straight cut. PV 781 TCM is a an early to mid-maturity canola hybrid and has TruFlex technology for flexibility in application rate and staging. It is a harvest management hybrid that is suitable for straight cutting. It has enhanced blackleg resistance and protection and is rated resistant to the disease. The variety also has multigenic clubroot resistance.
PV 280 CLC is a high-yielding, early to mid-maturity canola hybrid with Clearfield technology. This non-GMO contract premium offering is resistant to blackleg and has multigenic clubroot resistance.
