Surely a made-in-Canada nematicide would be a boon for Prairie soy growers before soybean cyst nematode gets any further foothold up here on the Prairies, right? Well, no.

Changes to export tax spurs exports

Some adjustments to Argentine soybeans were made by the United States Department of Agriculture attaché in Buenos Aires. While the USDA and its attaché agreed Argentina's soybean harvest for the 2024/25 marketing year is to be 49 million tonnes, the two differed on other categories. The report was issued during the week of March 10.




Vyconic soybeans are expected to be released in Canada for the 2027 growing season.

Bayer’s Vyconic genetics to be integrated with the company’s soybean varieties in coming years

If all goes according to plan, by 2027 soybean farmers throughout Canada will have new soybean varieties with tolerance to five key herbicides.
