Shell Rotella is holding its fourth annual online SuperTractors competition, where farmers can nominate their tractor to win a prize and some widespread publicity for their favourite machine.

Is your tractor — or one of them — something special? If so, you may be interested in entering it into Shell Rotella’s fourth annual SuperTractors competition. Entries are open from Sept. 16 to 26.

“These farmers embody dedication, putting in countless hours to help provide for their communities across North America,” says Julie Wright, North American brand manager for Shell Rotella. “As we approach National Farmer’s Day, our goal is to celebrate these agricultural champions by showcasing the deep pride they have in their work and equipment through our annual SuperTractors contest.”

Rotella is Shell’s diesel engine oil offering, so you can see the logical link to heavy equipment, and even diesel-powered pickups.

Farm auctions evolve with the times

The option is still available for farmers who want to sell assets that way, but a U.S. auction firm expanding into Canada notes the number of live, on-farm auctions has drastically declined.

Shell Rotella also sponsors an annual SuperRigs competition, where owners of heavy-duty trucks can enter their pride and joy to win a prize. The SuperTractors competition is another version of that, aimed at farm tractors.

To enter, go to the contest web page and upload an image of your tractor along with an explanation of why it deserves to win.

All entries will be posted online for 10 days at the end of the entry period and the public will get to vote on their favourite. The winner of the popular vote will receive $250, plus 10,000 MyMilesMatter points and a Shell Rotella-branded Carhartt jacket.

The contest is open to producers across the U.S. and Canada, except in the province of Quebec. Be sure to look at the contest rules for details on how to submit an entry. Note that any image showing offensive content, such as a U.S. Confederate flag or obscenities, won’t be accepted.
