Nokian is introducing its new Soil King Flexforce VF tires for high-horsepower tractors. It first displayed them at Agritechnica 2023. The tires were also tested in Germany at the independent DLG (German Agricultural Society) test centre, and DLG has now released its report on their performance.
During testing, DLG compared the Nokian Soil King tires to two other VF and one IF set for comparison. According to DLG’s findings, published in its report number 7271, the Nokian tires use a new centre-line design that provided a smoother ride during road transport. The Soil King tires outperformed the comparison tires in all aspects of testing, reducing tractor fuel consumption both in the field and during road transport.
The tires also had the lowest level of wheel slip during field work, allowing them to cover one-quarter of a hectare more during a one-hour test.
