In August, AGCO introduced a new vertical tillage tool into its Sunflower line of implements. The SF6830 model is one of a number of recent additions to the brand.
Designed for high-speed field finishing, the SF6830 includes four types of ground engaging features in one vertical tillage implement.
The front row on an SF6830 Series machine is made up of a gang of 20-inch, low-concavity blades set at an 8° angle, which the company says will provide just the right amount of lateral soil movement to level the field and anchor residue.

Kubota introduces Grand L70 series of utility tractors
For 2026, Kubota has debuted six utility-class tractor models in the 37- to 60-gross engine horsepower range, dubbed the Grand L70 series, offering up a new slate of high-spec features.
Behind those blades are sealed, service-free disc gang reels that turn at twice the speed of the disc blades. The gang reels aggressively break up clods, while limiting lateral movement of the soil and prevent ridging. Wavy coulter blades are positioned in a gang behind the blades and reels, which size crop residue and fracture the soil.
The final element on the SF6830 Series is two intermeshed gangs of Rotary Spider Tines. They are designed to ensure that the soil is levelled and that crop residue is equally mixed across the entire width of the tool, leaving the seedbed flat and even.
Aside from the SF6830, the brand also introduced smaller 11- and 14-foot versions of its 6610 vertical tillage implements. And it added the new 4630-09 heavy disc ripper to its 4630 Series, which are implements designed to deal with residue, break up soil compaction and leave a prepared seedbed. 4630 models are available in sizes from seven to 13 shanks.
