Cattle futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were stronger on Friday, finding some support from fresh details on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s plans to deal with new world screwworm.

Smithfield Foods raised its annual operating profit forecast on Tuesday as its hog business rebounded from losses and the biggest U.S. pork processor said it resumed U.S. exports to China that had been crippled by tariffs.

Audrey Murray’s previous research work included examining how wetlands like this on Prince Edward Island potato farms helped to naturally filter water from field runoff before it entered nearby streams and rivers.
