Swather-sprayer retrofit a clever solution to winter wheat’s tight planting window

A system to spray pre-seed herbicide at the same time as swathing isn’t just a clever labour-saver, but could help overcome one of the biggest obstacles keeping Prairie farmers out of winter wheat: the timing.

AAC Brown Elite is a brown mustard hybrid offering strong blackleg resistance. Maturing three days later than Hybrid Brown 18, AAC Brown Elite has similar yield and improved milling characteristics compared to Hybrid Brown 18.

AAC Guard is a brown mustard hybrid designed for the biofumigation and cover crop markets. It provides quick ground cover and a large amount of vegetation, which help suppress nematodes and diseases such as verticillium.

Nuseed

N4H161 CL is an ultra-early-maturity, high-oleic sunflower hybrid with the Clearfield herbicide-tolerant trait. It is well-suited for short-growing-season areas and is a double-crop option for winter wheat growers. N4H161 CL is a shorter-statured sunflower with excellent root strength and late-season plant health, and it also offers excellent yield and oil content for its maturity.

N4H302 E is a medium-early maturity, high-oleic sunflower featuring the ExpressSun herbicide-tolerant trait. This hybrid is best suited for northern growing regions and performs well from east to west. N4H302 E has great early-season emergence, and also offers good late-season plant health and excellent oleic content at harvest.

N4H205 E is an early-maturity, high-oleic sunflower with the ExpressSun herbicide-tolerant trait. This hybrid will flower late, but it dries down quickly in the fall for an easy harvest. Featuring strong stalks and roots, N4H205 E also has advanced downy mildew resistance and excellent oil content.
