VIDEO: Harvesting the history of the JD 40 combine

A 62-year-old combine is certainly no longer state-of-the-art, but old machines offer a terrific look back to see how far the development of harvesting equipment has come. As you’ll see here, Barry Reimer of Manitoba has been working on restoring a 1962 John Deere 40 combine in his backyard. From what he could show us it’s operational and just needs some cosmetic work. We also dug into some archives to show how this combine was marketed back in the day when it was new. Have a look!
