Will Greeneye Technology’s precision spray system soon become an option on Fendt Rogator sprayers? AGCO announced last December it has become an investor in Greeneye.

In mid-December last year, AGCO announced it had made an equity investment in Israel-based Greeneye Technology, acquiring 2.9 per cent of the young startup firm that has begun offering retrofit precision-spraying technology. The Greeneye system is based on artificial intelligence and deep machine learning, which enables intelligent, real-time decisions in the field that can significantly reduce chemical use.

“Our investment in Greeneye Technology complements AGCO’s farmer-first strategy, which has been designed to deliver industry- leading smart farming solutions that improve our customers’ net farm incomes,” said Eric Hansotia,

AGCO’s chairman, president and CEO, in a press release. “Greeneye Technology has a strong focus on solving real customer needs and has demonstrated the ability to develop innovative solutions that provide measurable customer benefits.”
