CNH launches older-model parts line

Case IH and New Holland equipment dealers in Canada will be able to offer farmers parts for common repairs of pre-1992 Ford, International Harvester, David Brown, Fiat and Hesston equipment.

The two farm equipment makers’ parent company, CNH, on Wednesday launched Gold Value Parts, a new line of CNH parts including clutch assemblies, brakes, steering parts, engine parts, electrical parts and gaskets.

“Gold Value parts are for customers who want competitively-priced parts from the original manufacturer for their older model machines,” said Eric Bippus, vice-president of sales and marketing for CNH Parts and Service in North America.

“This competitive parts alternative offers superior quality and value, and is a great way to extend the useful life of older equipment,” he said.

Plus, he said, access to dependable parts helps customers maintain the value of their equipment “with the value of used holding as well as it has.”

Gold Value parts will be backed by the same warranty as on CNH Original Parts, the company said. CNH added that it plans to continue to expand the selection of parts available through the Gold Value line.

Reman parts

CNH on Wednesday also announced a new technical call centre to support equipment dealers in North America who offer CNH Original remanufactured parts.

The call centre line, 1-888-949-7362 (1-888-WHY-REMAN), will be staffed by remanufactured parts specialists and is meant to help provide CNH’s ag and construction equipment owners with “cost-effective repair and maintenance options that can lower costs and maximize uptime,” Bippus said.

“Reman is an environmentally-friendly parts option that offers lower costs, quality that is equal to new, and reduced repair times, so that customers can put their machines back to work sooner,” he said.

“Dealers have asked for a one-stop shop, where they can receive timely information regarding application part numbers, availability, pricing, core return criteria, warranty information and technical support,” said Steve Choate, the director of the new technical call centre, in CNH’s release.

“This centre will provide those answers, as well as supply dealers with information regarding new Reman products and selling tips.”
