– England’s National Drought Group has officially declared a drought over half of the country as many southern, central and eastern regions have not seen any substantial rainfall for months. The official declaration allows for restrictions on water usage to be put in place, including rationing and bans on sprinklers. Much of Europe also remains hot and dry, with France dealing with wildfires and many major rivers drying up.

– Former United States President Donald Trump is calling for the “immediate” release of the federal warrant the FBI used to search his Mar-a-Lago estate earlier in the week. The U.S. Justice Department has also asked for the warrant to be made public due to the “substantial public interest in this matter.”
– Five state-owned Chinese companies will delist themselves from the New York Stock Exchange, amid heightened tensions between China and the United States. The companies include China Life Insurance, Sinopec, PetroChina, Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical and the Aluminum Corporation of China – all of which were added to the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act list in May after being identified as not meeting U.S. regulatory standards.
