Ag equipment dealerships are now dominated by multi-store retailers. Some of them, such as the Rocky Mountain CNH dealership chain in Canada and Titan in the U.S., have grown to become dominant in several regions, pushing dealership networks to previously unheard-of sizes. The same is becoming true in the automotive world.
Edmonton-based Go Auto, which now owns 65 auto dealerships in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, the Northwest Territories and Washington state, has added even more to its chain. In April it announced it acquired Merlin Ford Lincoln and the Canada West RV and Truck Centre in Saskatoon.
Go Auto retails 28 different new vehicle brands and says it employs about 4,200 people.
