This season New Holland is expanding its SmartTrax rubber track option by making it available on the brand’s two mid-range four-wheel drive tractors, the 470 horsepower T9.530 and 500 horsepower T9.565. SmartTrax modules are already available on the three largest models in the T9 Series.
The brand claims the T9 SmartTrax track modules have the largest drive wheels in the segment, which allows for 35 to 60 per cent more drive lug engagement than some competitors’ track drive systems. That reduces the load per lug and extends the service life of the track as well as minimizing slippage.
“We are excited to expand our T9 SmartTrax Series with the T9.530 and T9.565,” said Bret Lieberman, vice president for New Holland North America, in a press announcement. “These new track offerings feature a larger footprint, placing more rubber on the ground, which results in less compaction, greater traction and superior pulling power.”
The SmartTrax modules offer 38 degrees of articulation for enhanced terrain following.
