WINNIPEG, July 12 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Tuesday, July 12.
– Excessive rain and high humidity are causing challenges for first cut haying operations, according to Manitoba’s recent crop report. Some regions are 15 per cent complete, while others regions have yet to start haying operations.
– The winter barley harvest is underway in Norfolk, England and Dorset, and although yields look good, poor weather conditions have affected quality. The UK winter barley area is estimated to be down 4 per cent this season to 424,000 hectacres.

– Feed barley top prices in Saskatchewan dropped 10 cents to C$3.40 per bushel, according to Prairie Ag Hotwire. Top prices in Manitoba were steady at C$3.45 per bushel, while Alberta saw an 11 cent increase on top prices, closing at C$4.46 per bushel.
– Feed wheat prices remained steady in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, according to Prairie Ag Hotwire. Saskatchewan top prices closed at C$5.20 per bushel while Manitoba top prices closed at C$4.50 per bushel. Alberta top prices dropped 5 cents to C$6.26 per bushel.
