WINNIPEG, July 20 (CNS Canada) – Following are a few highlights in the Canadian and world feed grains markets on Wednesday, July 20.
– CBOT corn futures finished four cents per bushel lower Wednesday. Prices were pressured by favourable weather forecasts and some mild profit-taking.
– Brazilian agency Conab hiked its forecast for the wheat crop in Brazil to 6.28 million tonnes in 2016/17 which is 6.8 per cent higher than the previous estimate.
– UKAgroConsult has pegged the wheat harvest in Ukraine at 24 million tonnes and the wheat harvest in Russia at 66 million tonnes.

– According to the Industrial Goods Information Service, the dry bulk market freight rate for grain has increased in recent weeks by US$1-$2 per tonne.
– Over 50 per cent of South Dakota’s winter wheat crop is in the bin, according to the USDA.
– Feed barley bids in the key cattle feeding area of Lethbridge, Alberta were in the C$194-$205 per tonne range as of July 15, which was C$7-$8 lower than the week before, according to provincial reports. Feed wheat prices were in the C$215 to C$225 range which was C$10-$15 from the previous week.
