Over 1,300 Deere front-end loader attachments sold in Canada are being recalled over what’s missing from their operator manuals.
Deere and Co. and Health Canada on Thursday announced a recall for certain 120R John Deere loaders sold from May through September last year.
“The ballasting information for the loader when attached to a John Deere model 2025R tractor is missing from the operator’s manual,” Health Canada said in a notice Friday.
“If improperly ballasted, the tractor may be unstable and cause injury to the operator or bystanders.”

Deere and Co. hasn’t yet received any reports of related incidents or injuries as of Tuesday, Health Canada noted.
The recall affects 1,335 of the 120R units sold in Canada and about 11,510 more sold in the U.S.
Owners of the loader model should “immediately stop using the recalled front loader and contact their John Deere dealer to have them correct ballasting information to the current operator’s manual,” Health Canada said.
A list of serial numbers for affected loaders is available online. On the affected loader model, the serial number can be found on the inside of the left boom arm. — AGCanada.com Network
