Nufarm’s cereal herbicide Enforcer M has picked up approval for an expanded label allowing its use in canary seed crops, and its use on more weeds and in more tank mixes.
Enforcer, a post-emergent herbicide previously labelled for use in spring, winter and durum wheat and barley, is applied from the three-leaf to flag-leaf stage for control or suppression of a “wide range” of broadleaf weeds, including cleavers, kochia and wild buckwheat, Nufarm says.
The expanded label includes “additional hard-to-control winter annuals and perennials,” Nufarm said in a release Tuesday.

Canary seed growers, the company said, now also have a “new option” for broad-spectrum control of broadleaf weeds on their crop.
New tank-mix partners “extend the options” of grass herbicides that are approved for use with Enforcer M, for “combined control of a broader spectrum of grass and broadleaf weeds.”
Approved partners for tank mixes include Tralkoxydim or Achieve Liquid (for wheat and barley only); Cordon or Puma Advance (for spring wheat, durum and spring barley only); Signal or Nufarm Clodinafop (for spring wheat and durum only); Axial 100EC (spring wheat and barley only); Everest 2.0 (spring wheat and durum only); Varro (wheat only); and Simplicity (spring wheat and durum only).
The product, whose actives include MCPA ester and fluroxypyr (Group 4) and bromoxynil (Group 6), is registered for use only in the Prairie provinces and B.C.’s Peace region. — AGCanada.com Network
