Winnipeg, April 23 – The Canadian dollar was unchanged against its US counterpart at midday Wednesday, due to a lack of domestic data.
The release of quarterly results from tech giants Facebook and Apple, as well as the release of Canadian retail sales data could change that, according to an analyst.
May copper was unchanged at C$3.05 a pound.
At 11:45 CDT Wednesday, the Canadian dollar was trading at US$0.9068 or US$1.1028, which compares with Tuesday’s North American close of US$0.9068, or US$=$1.1028.
At 11:45 CDT Wednesday, the Toronto Stock Exchange was up 19.05 points to sit at 14,575.02.
