WINNIPEG, Aug. 14 (CNS Canada) The Canadian dollar was stronger Tuesday morning, as concerns eased over the economic crisis in Turkey.
At 9:23 CDT Tuesday morning the Canadian dollar was at US$0.7643 or C$1.3084 which compares with Monday’s North American close of US$0.7613 or C$1.3136.
After dropping sharply in recent days, Turkey’s lira was showing some stability on Tuesday. Crude oil and most equity markets were also stronger, while the United States dollar was weaker.
The TSX was stronger at 9:23 CDT, up 24.10 points at 16,274.85.
