Few changes in March USDA report

Increased projections for South American corn, soybeans, U.S. wheat carryout

The United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) monthly supply/demand estimates, released on March 8, were largely left unchanged, the exceptions being South American corn and soybeans as well as U.S. wheat.

Corn, soy firm ahead of USDA data

Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) wheat futures ended mostly lower on Thursday with the benchmark contract Wv1 tumbling to a fresh 3-1/2-year low late in the session after China cancelled a purchase of U.S. wheat and Egypt scrapped an international purchase tender, traders said.

U.S. seed giant acquires Calgary-based Union Forage

Will continue to operate under Union Forage name in 2024 but status beyond that uncertain

South Dakota-based Millborn Seeds announced today it had purchased Union Forage. In a news release, Millborn described Union Forage as a “forage seed innovator” that aligns with its “mission of enriching land and lives by delivering more than 1,200 species of seed solutions to farmers, ranchers and landowners across North America.”
