Bad Boy runs on electric power

Published: January 26, 2009

Bad Boy, Inc. of Batesville, Arkansas, will introduce an electric-powered multipurpose utility vehicle in 2009. The “MTV” has an electric motor powered by four 12-volt batteries, push button four-wheel drive, and a cargo bed with 400-pound capacity. MTV plugs into any 110V outlet. The charger automatically shuts off, so you can plug it in after a run and forget about it until the next go.

The company would not provide any more information at this time, but a fellow farm writer, Dan Crummett from the Farm Progress family in the U. S., saw the MTV previewed at the SunBelt Ag Expo in Moultrie, Georgia. Dan learned that the MTV can run 30 to 40 miles on a single charge, will attain speeds up to 20 miles per hour or more, and recharges fully in eight hours. You can choose two or four-seat capacity and a short or long bed.
