Quebec-based Agropur Cooperative has announced purchase of Coast Mountain Dairy, an ice cream producer in Chilliwack, B.C.
Coast Mountain Dairy has been producing ice cream since 1997 and is the maker of Sara’s Old Fashioned premium ice cream, the Mountain Pride premium line of ice creams and Arctic Star, the economy line of ice cream and frozen desserts.
Agropur processes more than 3.3 billion litres of milk per year in its 28 plants across Canada and the United States. Its brands include Natrel, Québon, OKA, Farmers, Central Dairies, Sealtest, Island Farms, Agropur Grand Cheddar, Olympic and iögo.
