Plow snow with your ATV

ACI of Jamestown, North Dakota, has three new ATV front mounts for its SnowSport all-terrain plow. These mounts now make the plow compatible with 2008 Arctic Cat 1000 Thundercat, 2008 or ’09 Honda Rancher 420, and ’09 Polaris Sportsman XP 550 and 850.

This news in itself is not a big deal, unless you actually have one of these ATV models. But it serves as a reminder that these tools are available to make ATVs more useful. If you want to stay out of the wind while plowing, you can

also get canopy covers for ATVs to shelter the driver on all sides. The SnowSport plow mounts install in minutes, the company says. The blade is made from corrosion-resistant, hardened, anodized aluminum. It has a one-inch thick rubber cutting edge to plow hard, compacted snow, yet “remain terrain-friendly,” the company says. The system does not require any wiring, lever controls, or winch to operate. SnowSport plows start at US$719. For more information, visit the ACI website at www.agricover.com or call 1-800-233-4655.
