The Motor Safety Association, a non-profit organization promoting safe working environments, is looking for your help. The association is looking for a safer way to install and remove concaves from rotary combines. It wants input from farmers and farmer inventors for tips and tricks to perform this procedure more safely. Perhaps you already utilize a 12-volt winch or a hydraulic tool to perform this heavy task, or you are creative and can provide suggestions on how to perform this task safer.
Statistics show that back injuries are on the rise. In addition to the pain and suffering of injured workers, back injuries cost the industry millions of dollars.
If you have any suggestions on how to perform concave removal safely, please inform the Motor Safety Association ( www.motorsafety.ca). All entries will receive a prize. Please forward your suggestions to; Motor Safety Association #673 Henderson Drive, Regina, Sask, S4N 6A8, phone 306-721-0688, fax 790- 1098 or email [email protected] Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
