Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers for 2008 are David and Lisa Taylor (on the left in the photo), who are part of the 300-head, family-owned dairy Viewfield Farms at Courtenay, B. C., and Lyne Groleau and husband Marco Couture (the couple on the right), who run a farrow-to-finish hog operation as well as a processing plant at St. Remi de Tingwick, Quebec. They received the honour at the annual awards banquet held in Calgary in late November. All seven regional nominees for 2008 attended the conference along with more than 200 other farm couples from across Canada who represented their regions as Outstanding Young Farmers since the program began. National sponsors for the 2008 OYF program are Bayer Crop Science, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and John Deere. AdFarm and the Canadian Farm Business Management Council are national supporters.
