There is probably nothing more frustrating for farmers than buying a new machine, only to have it sitting dead in the field with a breakdown a few days or weeks after it starts work. Unfortunately, though, it’s something many have experienced. In recent years, almost all brands have ramped up quality control at the manufacturing stage to improve consistency and accuracy in the assembly process to prevent premature component failure.
Along with that, a few brands are now confident enough in their machines to offer a significantly improved warranty period. Versatile has just joined the ranks of manufacturers upping their game in that respect. At the beginning of October, the company announced it is now providing a comprehensive three-year, 3,000-hour warranty on all of its tractors beginning with the 2020 model year.
The warranty coverage will include 36 months of “powertrain, hydraulics and premier component” coverage.
