Alberta’s ALMA launches web site

Alberta’s provincial Livestock and Meat Agency (ALMA), has opened up its new website for information on programs coming up as part of the province’s livestock and meat strategy.

The site features updates on livestock and meat sector competitiveness initiatives and information about the Alberta Livestock and Meat Strategy (ALMS) and ALMA as well as the Livestock Information System of Alberta (LISA).

Details on industry workshops and consultations, as well as materials presented during the sessions, are also available, the province said Friday in a release.

ALMA, launched in June as part of the province’s plan to revitalize the livestock and meat industry, is to work with industry to implement the initiatives outlined in ALMS.
