More news from rubber track maker Camso

Track component manufacturer offers several updates for 2020

Camso, a rubber track system and components manufacturer, is also an OEM supplier to a few major brands. It builds and provides the engineering for the track systems installed on tractors and other equipment right at the factory. But it also supplies aftermarket bolt-on track systems. This fall the brand had a few announcements to make about new features that will provide improved performance on those track modules it supplies both to major brands as original equipment as well as the aftermarket.

“For many years now, we’ve been dedicated to providing farmers with high-performance and cost-effective solutions that meet their needs,” said Ryan Anderson, sales director aftermarket, Americas — Agriculture, at Camso. “We are constantly working to create highly engineered products that solve some of the issues they deal with in an ever-changing market and across the different requirements of the farming cycle.”

The first of the new “solutions” for 2020 is the introduction of a faster 20 m.p.h. road speed on the brand’s TTS (Trailed Track Systems), which are designed for use on towed implements such as grain carts. That represents a 30 per cent jump in maximum speed rating.

Camso is also introducing an updated mid-roller design for the modules it builds that are designed for the Case IH Quadtrac tractors.

“With this new two-piece kit, the roller wheel with its adapted hub can be replaced without the need for new hardware,” explains the press announcement. “For end users, this will represent a significant increase in uptime and a considerable cost savings: changing a mid-roller becomes a 15-minute task, instead of a two-hour procedure that requires additional replacement parts.”

Lastly, Camso is reminding everyone that its remanufacturing program for rubber tracks is still available to producers who want to save a few dollars on replacement costs.

“We strive to provide farmers with the best solutions for their needs, through a combination of high-quality products combined with best-in-class service and support,” adds Anderson.
