The Back Saver
This home-made video from Manitoba producer Elgin Routledge
shows two different Back Saver devices which he invented.
The one Back Saver mounts on a John Deere baler to help load
the large plastic wrap rolls, and the second Back Saver can be
mounted inside the box of a pickup truck, also providing a
convenient, back-saving tool for lifting loads into a truck box.

Automatic Sorting CorralThe following is a short clip from a home-made video showing cattle moving through an automatic sorting system developed by Leroy and Barb Lausen, ranchers near Hanna, Alta. See the full story and additional information in the Cattleman’s Corner section of the October 22, 2007 Grainews. The basic concept of this sorting system is that as the cow/calf pairs move through this specially designed section of the corral, more than 95 per cent of calves will exit under raised sections of the corral panels, to the right and left, into pens that are separate from the cows. |
